Levi’s® Stadium Selected as a Host Venue for the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup

Monday, April 10, 2023

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) today announced the selection of Levi’s Stadium as one of the host venues for the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup. The 17th edition of Concacaf’s flagship competition for men’s national teams will be played between June 16 – July 16, 2023 and will crown the best national team in the region.

This announcement extends Levi’s Stadium and the Bay Area’s reputation for being a vibrant, passionate home for soccer in the United States. The venue hosted the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup Final that crowned the United States as champions after the national team beat Jamaica by a score of 2–1. The match welcomed over 63,000 fans.

“We are honored and extremely proud to be named as a Gold Cup host venue for the second time in the last four competitions,” said Al Guido, 49ers President. “Nothing brings people together like the power of sport, and we are fortunate to be able to bring major, global sports competitions like the Gold Cup to the Bay Area. We look forward to great competition, and to welcoming soccer fans from across the region to Levi’s Stadium.

“To this day, hosting the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup Final was one of the most exciting and energetic event atmospheres in Levi’s Stadium history,” said Emily Eskin, Head of Levi’s Stadium Events. “Our venue continues to shine as a destination for major soccer events, particularly as we prepare to host matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup™. We look forward to working with Concacaf and national teams to put on a spectacular show for fans here in the Bay Area and around the globe.”

Last summer, Levi’s Stadium and the Bay Area were selected as a host region and venue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™, which is expected to attract fans from around the world. Since opening in 2014, Levi’s Stadium has established itself as a popular home for world-class soccer showcases, including the 2016 Copa América Centenario, the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup, and multiple International Champions Cups.

To kick off the 2023 Gold Cup, Concacaf will conduct the competition’s official draw on Friday, April 14, 2023. Concacaf will announce a complete schedule, including specific match venue assignments, ticketing information, and other details in the days following the official draw.
