LEVI’S® STADIUM TO HOST SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES AGAINST ORLANDO CITY SC ON MAY 24, 2015
The San Jose Earthquakes will return to Levi’s® Stadium for the second installment of their multi-year partnership on Sunday, May 24, as was announced by the Earthquakes last week as part of their full 2015 Major League Soccer schedule. Tickets for the match against expansion squad Orlando City SC at 4:00 p.m. PT will go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 30, at LevisStadium.com.
Earthquakes season ticket holders and Levi’s® Stadium SBL owners will have priority access to tickets for this event. For more information on the event or to secure Earthquakes season tickets, fans can call 408-556-7700. To become a Levi’s Stadium SBL holder, fans can call 415-GO49ERS.
The previous Levi’s® Stadium appearance for the Earthquakes was the stadium’s first official event, a 1-0 San Jose win over Seattle Sounders FC in front of 45,765 fans on August 2, 2014. Planning for that match began in October 2013 when it was announced as the stadium’s first event, a partnership later extended into a multi-year agreement to schedule one Earthquakes match per year at Levi’s® Stadium.
On June 2, 2014, the two organizations announced their plan to collaborate on bids to bring international soccer events to Levi’s® Stadium and the new home of the Earthquakes, Avaya Stadium. The new venture was designed to promote the greater area as an ideal training venue for international teams to prepare for key competitions and tournaments.
