To kick off the announcement of a multi-year partnership with Safeway, Levi’s® Stadium and the San Francisco 49ers are introducing the Faithful Mile presented by Safeway, an all-new tailgating concept designed to serve as the official pre-game destination of 49ers home games at Levi’s® Stadium. Safeway will also support 49ers tailgaters inside the stadium by awarding a Tailgater of the Game at each 49ers home contest.

Featuring multi-faceted activations by Safeway and other Levi’s® Stadium sponsors, the Faithful Mile presented by Safeway is a 60,000-square-foot dedicated tailgating area with room to entertain more than 4,000 fans at a time as they enter Levi’s® Stadium for 49ers home games. The space includes two expansive bars presented by Bud Light, food areas, beer carts and mobile merchandise locations. The spacious pre-game fan zone is accessible to all 49ers ticket holders free of charge after passing through the security perimeter on the west side of Levi’s® Stadium.

“By partnering with Safeway to introduce a tailgating experience of this size and magnitude to our fans, we can ensure all guests will enjoy the full effect of a San Francisco 49ers home game, both before and after kickoff,” said 49ers COO Al Guido. “With the help of our partners like Safeway, this is another step forward in our mission to make Levi’s Stadium the most attractive, fan-friendly sporting venue of its kind.”

The sponsor activations in the Faithful Mile presented by Safeway will make for popular gathering points for 49ers fans as excitement builds leading up to the start of each game. The festivities at the Faithful Mile presented by Safeway will serve as the backdrop to the Comcast SportsNet Bay Area Pre-Game Show that will broadcast from the far north end of the footprint, giving fans the opportunity to be a part of the show before each home game. The space will be anchored on the south end by the custom-built Pepsi Stage that will feature live music and entertainment throughout the pre-game experience.

Customized activations by various 49ers partners will provide fans with unique experiences such as food sampling from Safeway. The bars presented by Bud Light will feature more than 20 HD flat-screen HD televisions for watching action from out-of-market NFL games and a regular rotation of food trucks will offer a wide variety of food options.
