Levi’s® Stadium will host its first live concert event on May 2, 2015 when country music stars Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean christen the venue’s stage for an unforgettable stadium show. The concert announcement was made today as part of an unprecedented merger between Chesney’s recently announced The Big Revival Tour and Aldean’s The Burn It Down Tour. The concert will mark one of 10 epic stadium shows performed by the two artists as part of their star-studded tour merger.

“The fans in San Francisco have always been amazing… and I have some pretty great memories of playing out there,” said Kenny Chesney. “So to be part of something like opening Levi’s Stadium, that’s a whole other kind of memory to make — and I’m glad. Me and the guys want to kick things off with a lot of energy, a lot of fun and a whole lotta music to make it truly a show to remember.”

Tickets sales information and dates will be announced in the coming weeks at www.AEGLive.com.

Chesney, a combined eight-time Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year Award winner, has recorded 24 No. 1 hits and sold over 30 million albums throughout his musical career. Chesney’s new album, The Big Revival, stands as the 13th No. 1 Country Album debut. Aldean is a two-time Academy of Country Music Male Vocalist of the Year and the most downloaded male country artist in history. Earlier this month, Aldean’s Old Boots, New Dirt debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album chart while his hit single “Burnin’ It Down” currently ranks No. 1 on the country radio charts.

“The announcement of Levi’s Stadium’s first concert certainly makes for a historic day,” said Julio Fuentes, Executive Director of the Santa Clara Stadium Authority. “It offers the ability to attract quality entertainment to the Bay Area on a regular basis and we look forward to establishing Levi’s Stadium as a regular stop for all major stadium tours in North America.”

Although Chesney and Aldean will play the first concert at Levi’s® Stadium, it was also recently announced that the venue will host One Direction’s ON THE ROAD AGAIN 2015 stadium tour on Saturday, July 11, 2015.
