9th NFL Season; 9th with 49ers

Umesh Johari is in his ninth season with the San Francisco 49ers Business Strategy & Analytics department, where he oversees business intelligence, fan analytics, strategic projects, and retail operations.  He is also heavily involved in consulting projects, internal strategy, and acquisitions for Elevate Sports Ventures and supports business development for a variety of the 49ers affiliated businesses.  Johari started with the 49ers in 2013, leading the build out of the team’s retail business and supporting strategic projects in association with the development of Levi’s Stadium.

Prior to joining the 49ers, Johari was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group’s San Francisco office, where he worked on strategic and operational projects in the technology and industrial goods industries.  He also worked as an economic consultant in Analysis Group’s Los Angeles office, estimating damages for intellectual property, securities fraud, and breach of contract litigation.

Johari received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Southern California and his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Raised in the Bay Area, Johari is a life-long 49ers fan and currently lives in San Jose.  He is a proud uncle, avid photographer, and amateur cook.
