9th NFL Season, 9th with 49ers

Moon Javaid is in his ninth season with the 49ers and currently serves as the chief strategy officer. In his role, Javaid oversees business intelligence, CRM and fan feedback; manages the retail and concessionaire relationships; corporate development and the drive for outside revenue; and aids other business aspects of the organization with strategic and analytical support. 

Under Javaid’s guidance, the 49ers built a data warehouse that processed millions of records per day, became the first sports organization to deploy Happy or Not Terminals, launched the award-winning Executive Huddle, the first real-tie analytics control room on NFL game days. Executive Huddle’s recent awards of note include being named the Leader in Innovation by Leaders in Sports, and Best Venue Tech by TheStadiumBusiness. Javaid also drove the launch of the Member Inclusive Menu, an inclusive concessions menu of fan favorites like hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and more, that 49ers season tickets get included in the price of their ticket. Transitioning Levi’s Stadium into a cashless and frictionless venue was also led by Javaid. Finally, Javaid has been awarded several prestigious professional awards, including being named to the 2021 National Diversity & Leadership Conference’s Top 50 Diverse Leaders in Sports, and the Leaders in Sports’ 2020 Class of Leaders Under 40.

Javaid has also collaborated with ticket operations to break NFL records for highest revenue in a regular season game, and secured bids for WrestleMania 31 and the Gold Cup Final. Under his leadership, the organization has acquired Cal-Hi Sports, the Emmy award-winning high school program, launched three sports medicine facilities and 49ersFIT and started the first conference in sports dedicated to business strategy, the Horizon Summit. 

Previously, Javaid worked at Linden LLC, a healthcare-focused private equity fund and L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting firm. 

A Cleveland native, Javaid graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in Psychology and Economics and later earned his MBA from University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Javaid currently resides with his wife, Marnie, in Willow Glen, CA.
