VP, Game Day Production & Broadcast Operations

19th NFL season; 8th with 49ers

Aron Kennedy is in his eighth season with the 49ers, and his second season as vice president of game day production & broadcast operations.  He previously served as the director of game day production & broadcast operations. In his current role, he oversees a team of nearly 200 game-day employees required to execute the game day entertainment and in-stadium production at Levi’s Stadium.

During every 49ers home games, Kennedy and his team work behind the scenes to produce all of the content for the video boards and sound system, including team intros, instant replays, and celebration packages. Their expertise enables seamless transitions between the action on the field and in-venue entertainment aspects such as the Gold Rush cheerleaders, Niner Noise, Hype Team, Sourdough Sam and the Flag Team.  Kennedy also serves as the Engineer in Charge (EIC) for other world-class events held at Levi’s Stadium inclusive of Super Bowl 50, the 2019 CFP National Championship Game, and the 2015 NHL Stadium Series.  Thanks to his leadership, the 49ers continue to innovate and push limits of technology such as their first-of-its-kind 8K video replay system installed and implemented over the last two years.

Before moving to the Bay Area, Kennedy worked as the director of game day production for the Philadelphia Eagles for 11 seasons where he was also a four-time Emmy Award winner, as well as a Promax Award winner, thanks to his audio design and production achievements with the Eagles.

Kennedy is thankful to be associated with one of the most storied and successful NFL franchises, and considers working every day at Levi’s Stadium, one of the world’s most technologically advanced stadiums, one of his brightest career highlights.

In his free time, Kennedy plays bass guitar after traveling the country in a band for 10 years.  A native of the Philadelphia area, he graduated from Temple University with a BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Electrical Engineering.  Kennedy and his wife, Catarina, currently reside in San Jose.
