Thursday, July 10, 2014

The Santa Clara Stadium Authority and the San Francisco 49ers announced today that Dignity Health, one of the largest hospital systems in the nation, is now the official health care partner of the San Francisco 49ers and Levi’s® Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

As part of a long term agreement, Dignity Health will serve as the official health care partner of the team and will sponsor the First Aid stations located throughout the venue.

“Dignity Health has played an integral role in helping to design a safe and healthy environment for all visitors to Levi’s® Stadium,” said 49ers CEO Jed York. “We are thrilled to have one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers intimately involved in the care of our fans, and quite pleased to add another local partner continuing our efforts to showcase the best of the Bay Area at Levi’s® Stadium.”

Lloyd Dean, CEO of Dignity Health said, “Dignity Health is proud to be the health care partner of the San Francisco 49ers and visitors to Levi’s® Stadium. The 49ers are an outstanding organization and share Dignity Health’s commitment to service excellence and strengthening community. We look forward to extending our mission of care through our relationship with the team and our outreach to its fans.”

The branding and media opportunities in the sponsorship include entitlement to the stadium’s Southwest entry plaza. At each game, an estimated 20,000 fans will pass through Dignity Health Plaza from the West side of Levi’s® Stadium. Dignity Health-branded signage will be visible in the Plaza, as well as throughout the 68,500-seat stadium. The agreement includes television and radio advertising during 49er broadcasts, which will feature Dignity Health’s Hello humankindness ad campaign. Dignity Health will also sponsor the official injury report.

As part of its mission to community, Dignity Health will participate in health care related special events sponsored by the 49ers, such as Breast Cancer Awareness Day scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014. The sponsorship also includes opportunities to educate fans at its interactive installation in Dignity Health Plaza, and to promote health and wellness at Community Monday events with current and former 49ers players and the Gold Rush.
